Putting People First in the Budget, Too

I consider myself a fiscal conservative, but unlike other alleged "conservatives" on City Council, I think we need to put people first, and give full funding to human services, health clinics, and swimming pools before we hand out millions of dollars in corporate welfare to the select few.

Some may call a desire to fund social programs a "liberal" position, but these labels are just used as a ploy to cause divisiveness, so we can argue about the differences between liberal and conservative policies while City Council unanimously votes to give Corporex a $30 million parking garage while no one is looking.

We need to curb this wasteful spending, but not at the expense of those in need!
